The Happiness Project

Inspired by Mike Dooley – who posted on Facebook today “Everyone has a built-in, Happiness-Now Button, that can instantly change how they feel. Go on, push it real good.” We are offering free Happiness Button installations until Easter 2012. Some of you may not know you have a Happiness Button, or some may have forgotten where you put it. It will take no more than 20 minutes to find it.

In most cases we can do this over the phone. If not, call us and book a free Happiness Button Installation session – enjoy an NLP process and a bigger smile. Visit the website http://www.futurenow.co.nz/contact.html

Isn’t it interesting that the world is recognising happiness? – I’m not sure if its to promote awareness of the benefits of being happy, or to encourage more people to be happy more of the time. Here at Future Now, we’ve been busy teaching and creating more happy.

Happiness is a state. Its an emotion. Its internal. It can be created and recreated. It can be anchored. It can be extrapolated into a gestalt with other states. It has a chemical matrix in our brains. It leaves an imprint in our bodies and on our timeline. Its a thing of wonder. You can catch it and pass it on. A genuine smile on anyone’s face makes the world a better place.

Some say happiness is a choice. There are times when that choice doesn’t present itself – when dealing with death or illness, major stresses and clinical depression for example. However, if we choose a default setting of “happiness” then its easier to work through the tough stuff when it arises. We spend time tailoring the happy default setting on the Create Your Future Now workshop and in coaching sessions. Email us for more details on the Create Your Future Now workshop, or to receive the Create Your Happy State programme. Visit www.futurenow.co.nz

Be happy. It makes the world a better place.

27/11/2011    As I walked down Lambton Quay, and have spent time in Wellington Central working with clients, I notice that the demeanor of the passer byes seems sad. Some say its the economy, the uncertainty, being out of work, being in work, the weather, the family, the (insert here).

A smile is more difficult to catch. Laughter is less often heard.

Is happiness an attitude? We know its a feeling. Is happiness a series of strategies? Is happiness caused by or at effect of our world view?

Here begins the process of discovery, observations, tools and strategies to increase happiness in our lives. Post your own observations, strategies and notice what you notice. See if you can pass a smile and have it returned. Notice the moments of joy, and share.
